As a Junior in 2016-17: Member of American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team..won the 400-yard IM at the Husky Open in 4:10.42.
As a Sophomore in 2015-16: Placed first in the 400-yard IM in 4:10.42 at the Husky Open..was tenth in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the American Athletic Conference Championship.
As a Freshman in 2014-15: Posted a great freshman year, recording his best times of the season at the conference meet.
Achievements: Swam for two years at Urbana High School, earning all-state honors twice...was a two-time Maryland Athletic scholar...set two team records while at Urbana and finished as the second runner up at states in 2011...tabbed as a Scholastic All-American and was a member of the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club National Team...also was a letter winner in unified bocce at his high school... named to the academic High Honor Roll and was an IB Certificate candidate.
Personal: Patrick Daniel Kavanaugh...son of Mark and Nancy Kavanaugh...has two sisters, Brigid and Molly...economics and business major.
