Kai-Jun Huang Named BIG EAST Co-Golfer of the Weeek

STORRS, CT - UConn junior Kai-Jun Huang (Taipei, Taiwan) was named the BIG EAST Men's Co-Golfer of the Week after his winning performance at last weekend's tournament at Navy.

Huang was victorious after a three-way playoff to capture The Goat tournament at the U.S. Naval Academy. The junior birdied the third playoff hole en route to his second collegiate victory. Huang finished at 2-under par with a 54-hole score of 211 (66-74-71), opening with a first round 66 - his low-round as a member of the Huskies.

The Huskies are set to host the annual UConn Invitational at GreatHorse coming up this weekend. The event will be held at GreatHorse in Hampden, MA on Sunday through Tuesday.
