UConn Claims Hartford Invitational in Season Opener

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - Women's cross country opened the 2026 season in dominant fashion, winning the University of Hartford Invitational and setting a new 3K course record.
Anique Poulin led the way, placing first with a personal-best time of 10:39.20 to set the new course record. Samantha Moore followed closely behind in second at 10:39.50, while Calista Mayer placed third in 10:50.40. Alexandra Morgan finished fourth at 10:53.60, followed by Katie McMorrow in sixth (11:09.50) and Alyssa Suriano in ninth (11:20.60).
All six Huskies who competed finished in the top 10, helping UConn secure the team victory in its season opener.
UP NEXT: UConn will travel to Hanover, New Hampshire for the Dartmouth Invitational on September 19.ย
