UConn Places 278 Student-Athletes on 2025-26 BIG EAST All-Academic Team

NEW YORK - A total of 278 UConn student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 BIG EAST All-Academic Team, the conference announced Tuesday.
The BIG EAST recognized 3,080 student-athletes across its 11 member institutions and six affiliate schools for their academic excellence during the 2025-26 academic year. UConn's 278 honorees ranked fourth among all BIG EAST institutions, trailing only Villanova (392), Georgetown (380) and Providence (286).
To earn BIG EAST All-Academic Team recognition, student-athletes must compete in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, maintain a minimum 3.00 grade-point average during the preceding academic year and complete at least two consecutive semesters (or three consecutive quarters) of academic work totaling a minimum of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, excluding remedial courses.
The Huskies' 278 honorees included 23 student-athletes from baseball, 8 from men's basketball, 7 from men's golf, 28 from men's track, 14 from men's soccer, 21 from softball, 11 from women's basketball, 14 from women's cross country/track and field, 18 from women's field hockey, 29 from women's indoor track, 36 from women's lacrosse, 20 from women's soccer, 27 from women's swimming and diving, 8 from women's tennis and 14 from women's volleyball.
