Trio Of Huskies Selected For Their Countries’ World U20 Teams

STORRS, Conn. - Three members of the UConn women's track and field team are set to compete on the international stage at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon, this August.
Rising sophomore Brooklyn Taylor has been selected to represent Canada in the women's 100-meter hurdles and long jump. The Alliston, Ontario, native posted a personal-best time of 13.36 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2026 Canadian U20 Track & Field Championships, finishing second to claim the silver medal and qualify for Team Canada
Incoming freshman Allison Wasson will also compete for Canada, earning selections in the women's 1500 meters and 3000 meters.
Rounding out the group, incoming freshman Sophie Thomas will represent Great Britain in the women's 200 meters and as a member of the 4x100-meter relay team.
