Huskies Wrap Successful Boston Weekend

BOSTON, Mass- UConn track and field continued its indoor season this weekend at the Crimson Open at Cambridge and Valentine Invite in Boston. The Huskies notched five new program top 10 marks.
Men's Track (Boston):
- Del Lindsay finished sixth in the 400m with a time of 47.60, the eighth-fastest time in program history
- TJ Jaravaza placed 15th in the 200m with a time of 21.71
- Medwin Odammten competed in the 60m at the Tyson Invite in Arkansas, qualifying for the finals with the fifth-fastest time at 6.68. Odammten
- Mohamed Wahdan finished second in the 60m hurdles at 7.83, the third-fastest time in program history. Josh Mooney took third at 7.93. In the qualifiers, Mooney ran 7.9, the sixth-best time in program history
- TJ Jaravaza finished third in the 400m at 48.40. Peyton Butler came in fourth at 48.65
- Gabe Cuffey took 13th in the 800m at 1:53.92.
- Noble Gongon finished second in the 200m at 22.01. Damon Simpson took third at 22.08 and Nicholas Wright claimed fifth at 22.30.
Women's Track:
- Mia Dansby finished 10th in the 60m with a time of 7.72. Dansby also claimed eighth in the 200m at 25.12
- Anna Connors took fourth in the 400m at 54.48
- Brooke Strauss ran the second-fastest 3000m time in program history, with a strong performance at 9:07.11. Chloe Trudel cracked the top 10 as well, finishing in 9:27.10, good for ninth all-time
- Emi Erekosima took second in the long jump at 7.02m
Men's Field:
- Max Ringwall finished second in the open pole vault at 4.45m. Wyatt Martin took second in the invite competition at 4.75m
- Alex Krause claimed sixth in the weight throw at 17.30m
- Marshall Potter won the shot put at 17.89m. Jack Foster finished sixth at 15.92m.
- Enaji Muhammad won the high jump competition at 2.14m.
- Emi Erekosima took second in the long jump at 7.02m
Women's Field:
- Ella Karp finished eighth in the weight throw at 14.50m
- Brooklyn Taylor took seventh in the long jump (5.50m) Jalynn Smith and Jaidah Garrett finished ninth and tenth, respectively at 5.37m and 5.27m
- Abigail Bernas finished fifth in the pole vault at 3.55m, with Katie Floering taking sixth at 3.45m.
- Gabriela DeFelice took fourth in the weight throw at 17.07m
- Sinclaire Fryer finished seventh in the shot put at 13.48m.
- Rachel Mason vaulted 3.83m, finishing fifth
- Kaylee Meyer finished second in the high jump at 1.72m.
- Matilda Brockley place fourth in the triple jump at 12.31m.
