UConn's Bell and Fagnano Invited to NFL Combine

STORRS, CT - Former UConn wide receiver Skyler Bell (Bronx, NY) and quarterback Joe Fagnano (Williamsport, PA) received invitations to participate in this year's 2026Â NFL Scouting Combine taking place later this month.
The UConn duo are among 319 prospects who have been invited to attend this year's event, which will take place in Indianapolis from February 23 through March 2. Live coverage of 2025 NFL Scouting Combine will begin on NFL Network and NFL+ beginning February 26.
The combine is part of the pre-draft process. The 2026Â NFL Draft will take place on April 23-25 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Bell became UConn's first-ever Consensus All-American after being named to the first team of three of the five NCAA-recognized All-America lists. He garnered first team recognition by the Associated Press (AP), the AFCA and The Sporting News while also earning second team honors by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
Bell, who was a finalist for the 2025 Biletnikoff Award, finished this season with 101 catches for 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns, setting new school records for receptions and TDs. Bell averaged 12.7 yards per catch and 106.5 yards per game. He led the country with seven 100-yard games this season. Over his two-year career at UConn, he played in 26 games and caught 151 passes for 2,138 yards and 18 touchdowns. He averaged 82.2Â yards per game over his career to rank first all-time at UConn.
Fagnano was named the New England Gold Helmet Player of the Year as well as the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston Offensive Player of the Year.  He started 12 games for the Huskies this season, the first UConn QB to do so since the 2018 season. On the year, he finished 285-for-413 for 3,448 yards, 28 TDs and one interception with a 161.03 passing efficiency rating. He had six games this season throwing for 300 or more yards and capped the year with the best performance of his career, completing 33 passes for 446 yards in the win at Florida Atlantic. He had seven games with three or more TD throws this year.
During his UConn career, he has played in 24 games and completed 423-of-654 passes for 5,252 yards and 48 touchdowns against six interceptions. He ranks fourth all-time in touchdowns, fifth all-time in passing yards and completions. In his career between UConn and Maine, Fagnano has played 51 career games with 10,926 yards passing, 94 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
