Huskies Voted to Finish Fourth in East Division

NEW YORK – The UConn men's soccer team has been projected to finish fourth in the East Division of the BIG EAST Conference, as announced in the league's Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday afternoon.
Last season, UConn went 3-2-3 in BIG EAST play, going 8-4-6 overall, earning the program's second straight BIG EAST Tournament appearance under fourth year head coach Chris Gbandi. The Huskies opened the 2024 season with a ten-game unbeaten streak, earning a spot in the top 25 national rankings for the first time since 2019.
UConn returns key contributors from a season ago, including three of their top five point leaders, in Sabri Hanni, Charlie Holmes, and Marco Valentic, along with five returning starters: Hanni, Holmes, Nicolas Tomerius, Max Gummesson, and Johan Hamel.
The Huskies will kick off the 2025 season on the road at Syracuse on Thursday, August 21. UConn returns to Storrs for the home opener on Sunday, August 24 as the Huskies welcome No. 8 UMASS to Morrone Stadium. TICKETS
