Women's Cross Country Announces 2025 Fall Schedule

STORRS, Conn.- Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Beth Alford-Sullivan and UConn women's cross country have announced their schedule for the 2025 fall season. The Huskies finished 3rd at the BIG EAST Championships last November, anchored by BIG EAST and Northeast Regional Champion Chloe Thomas. Thomas and teammate Jenna Zydanowicz finished first and sixth at the Northeast Region meet to punch their tickets to the National Championships, where Thomas earned first-team All-American Honors.
UConn kicks off the 2025 fall season at the Marist Opener on August 30th in Poughkeepsie, New York. The Huskies will return to Penn State on September 12th for the Spiked Shoe Invitational, where they finished fourth as a team last season. UConn will compete in the Paul Short Run in Allentown, Pennsylvania on October 4th and the Bruce Kirsch Invitational on October 10th. The Huskies finished second and first at the respective meets in 2024, taking home both individual crowns (Thomas and Calista Mayer). On October 18th, UConn will head to the University of Missouri to compete in the Pre-Nationals Meet, their final competition before the BIG EAST Championships on October 31st in Omaha, hosted by Creighton.
The NCAA Northeast Regional Meet will be held in New Hampshire on November 14th, with the NCAA Championship Meet hosted by Missouri on November 22nd.
