UConn Announces Public Address Announcer Search

STORRS, CT -Â UConn Athletics is seeking talented individuals to serve as the public address announcers for football, basketball, and other UConn sports beginning with the 2025-26 athletic seasons. These positions will contribute to the high-energy atmosphere and experience for UConn student-athletes, coaches and fans. The PA announcers will be required to attend all home games for their selected sports, including any preseason exhibition games and possible postseason events. This includes nights and weekends. Report time is typically one hour before the start of the event. This would be a part-time position, without benefits. Compensation would be on a per game basis and is commensurate with experience.Â
Job Qualifications:Â
- Previous experience preferred as a consistent PA announcer for a collegiate or professional sports team, or at sporting events in front of an audience in an arena or stadium settingÂ
- Strong vocal talent
- Enthusiasm, passion and strong knowledge of the sportsÂ
- Ability to multi-task in stressful environments
- Comfortable announcing complex names
- Receptive to feedback and coaching from athletics staff
- Ability to react quickly and appropriately
