STORRS, CT – For the first time in UConn football program history, the Huskies have a consensus All-American with wide receiver Skyler Bell (Bronx, NY) earning the distinction for the 2025 season.
Bell was named to the first team of three of the five NCAA-recognized All-America lists to meet the requirements. He garnered first team recognition by the Associated Press (AP), the AFCA and The Sporting News while also earning second team honors by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
Bell, who was a finalist for the 2025 Biletnikoff Award, finished this season with 101 catches for 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns, setting new school records for receptions and TDs. Bell averaged 12.7 yards per catch and 106.5 yards per game and ranks second in the NCAA in receptions, yards, TDs, catches per game and yards per game. He led the country with seven 100-yard games this season.
Over his two-year career at UConn, he played in 25 games and caught 151 passes for 2,138 yards and 18 touchdowns. He averaged 85.5 yards per game over his career to rank first all-time at UConn.
Bell will head to the Panini Senior Bowl, the 19th Husky to earn an invitation to the prestigious all-star game, as he preps for the 2026 NFL Draft.
2025 Consensus All-America
To be selected a player must be named first team on at least two of the five selected All-America teams. Thirteen players were unanimous choices by the five organizations used in the consensus chart — American Football Coaches Association, Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, The Sporting News and Walter Camp Foundation. Note: The five teams have a different way of listing the returner and/or all-purpose player. For the purpose of the Consensus All-America team those categories were treated as one position.
