Athletics Hosts First Career Fair Coffee Hour Exclusively for Student-Athletes

For the first time in program history, Husky Advantage and the National C Club partnered with the Career Center to put on a student-athlete only career fair on Tuesday, September 30th. Employers from a wide range of industries - including finance, healthcare, education, and public service - participated in the event. Notable organizations included Federated Insurance, Hartford Healthcare, Teach for America, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and many more.
The event was a hit. By 9:05am, Gampel Pavillion's lobby was bustling with the sounds of conversation and career development between current huskies and employers. Our students came prepared, many with resumes in hand, and embraced the opportunity to network. Audrey Kozak, a student-athlete from the Track & Field team said "The student athlete career fair was a great opportunity to talk to employers, make connections, and get the chance to be able to network with companies that strive for student-athletes' success in the real world".
