SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – UConn women's basketball graduate student Azzi Fudd was selected to the watch list for the 2026 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, as announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and Women's Basketball Coaches Association Tuesday.
The Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, in its ninth year, honors the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. It is named after the Class of 1993 Hall of Famer, the first player, regardless of gender, to be chosen for an All-America Team in four consecutive college seasons.
Fudd returns to Storrs for her final collegiate season after being named the 2025 NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player. She averaged 17.5 points in the 2025 NCAA Tournament and 22 points per game in the Final Four.
Fudd was a 2025 All-BIG EAST First Team and BIG EAST All-Tournament Team selection and led the Huskies in three-point percentage (.436) last season.
The Arlington, Va., native was named a unanimous 2025-26 preseason All-BIG EAST selection.
UConn alumna Christyn Williams won the Drysdale Award in 2022.
Fan voting for the Naismith Starting Five awards will begin on Friday, Oct. 31.
