Sarah Strong Named Preseason AP All-American

NEW YORK – UConn women's basketball sophomore Sarah Strong was named a Preseason Associated Press All-American Tuesday.
Strong was an AP Second Team selection in 2024-25. She was named a WBCA All-American and the WBCA National Freshman of the Year as Strong helped lead UConn to the 2025 National Championship.
Strong had one of the best rookie campaigns in UConn history. She set the UConn freshman record for rebounding and ranks second in points, assists and steals for a UConn freshman campaign. She was also selected to the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team, BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team.
Strong led the Huskies in rebounds (356), blocks (66) and steals (92), field goal percentage (.586) and double-doubles (12) in her rookie season. She averaged 16.4 points and 8.9 rebounds last season.
Earlier on Tuesday, Strong was named the BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year.
