BOSTON, MA – The UConn women's cross-country team ran at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday afternoon, finishing fourth overall in the field of 36 teams. Three Huskies finished in the top-15 to lead the UConn contingent.

"It was a tough race," stated head coach Lindsay Crevoiserat. "We were great 1-4. They really packed up well and ran one of the best races I've seen together. However, We just were battling a lot of sickness the last few weeks, so it really took a toll."

Running right on her heels was freshman Chloe Thomas (Dundas, Ontario) and senior Mia Nahom (New Milford, CT) in 14th and 15th, respectively. Thomas also had a brand new personal best time of 21:05.6. Nahom crossed right with her at 21:06.

"It will be close for the final spot in the NCAA field," said Crevoiserat. "No matter what, I'm so proud of my team and what we're doing here. We're competing at a high level, a higher level then we've ever been in 10 -12 years. We will keep coming back."
