Oladipo Earns Honorable Mention; Huskies Wrap Up NCAA Meet

Eugene, Ore. - Sophomore Divine Oladipo of the UConn women's track and field team concludes her stellar sophomore campaign with a Honorable Mention nod in the discus at the NCAA Track & Field Championship Saturday night at Hayward Stadium at the University of Oregon.
Oladipo placed 18th overall in the event with a distance of 46.09m (151-2). The London, United Kingdom native earns Honorable Mention status in addition to being tabbed a Second Team All-American after placing 12th in the shot put (16.55m (54-3¾)) on Thursday evening.
This season Oladipo was tabbed the Northeast Region Field Athlete of the Year after a putting together a record-setting season in which she broke UConn's shot put record with a distance of 17.37m (57-0). Her record-breaking performance won bronze at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships in addition to finishing second in the discus with a throw of 51.42m (168-8).
On Friday, junior Susan Aneno earned Second Team All-American status thanks to a 16th-place finish in the 800m (2:06.58).
