Women's Track and Field Heads to Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - The UConn women's track and field team returns to competition on April 8-9 when it travels to the campus of Princeton to participate in the Sam Howell Invitational.
Action at Weaver Stadium is slated to begin at 2 p.m. on Friday with the weight throw and will wrap up on Saturday following the 4x400m relay scheduled for 2:50 p.m. For a complete meet schedule, please CLICK HERE.
"This will be another good meet for us to ramp up our workload," said head coach J.J. Clark. "Unfortunately, we are dealing with some untimely illnesses but I expect to see those who compete put up strong individual results."
Connecticut is coming off an appearance the 73rd annual Florida Relays, competing in a field that featured ver 270 college, club, and professional teams and another 330-plus high school teams, amounting to over 4,200 competitors. For a complete meet recap, please CLICK HERE.
The Huskies competed at Princeton two times during the 2015 outdoor season, most recently racking up 27 top-10 individual finishes at the unscored Princeton Open on May 2, 2015, which served as the squad's final tine-up prior to the 2015 outdoor conference championship.
