Huskies Continue Outdoor Schedule at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - After cruising to a win at the 2016 UConn Invitational on Saturday at the George J. Sherman Family-Sports Complex, the UConn women's track and field returns to action on April 22-23 when it travels to Princeton, N.J. to participate in the Princeton Invitational.
Action at Weaver Stadium is scheduled to begin on Friday, April 22 at 2 p.m. with the hammer throw and will conclude on Saturday, April 23 with the 4x400m relay at 5:45 p.m. For a complete meet schedule, please CLICK HERE.
The Huskies compiled 219 team points in a win at the UConn Invitational, finishing 120 points higher than second-place Albany (99). The meet field included Northeastern, Buffalo, URI, Albany, and Southern Connecticut State University. For a complete weekend recap, please CLICK HERE.
Connecticut competed at Weaver Stadium on April 8 when many Huskies enjoyed notable success in the unscored meet. Senior Megan Chapman followed up a stellar weekend at the Pepsi Relays with a career-best, gold-medal performance in the discus throw (47.96m) and also set a personal-best in the hammer throw, taking third with a toss of 47.26m.
Connecticut checked in at No. 2 in the Northeast in the third edition of the weekly regional USTFCCCA rankings, moving up a spot and passing Cornell.
