RALEIGH, N.C. - After opening its outdoor season a week ago at the UCF Black & Gold, the UConn women's track team continues its 2016 campaign over the weekend at the Raleigh Relays on March 25-26, hosted by NC State.

"The Raleigh Relays has traditionally been a good meet," said head coach J.J. Clark. "It gives us another opportunity to fine tune and transition into the outdoor season. I anticipate good performances and a great meet."
Connecticut competed at the unscored meet a season ago, collecting three gold medals, including a first-place 400m dash performance from upperclassman Deysha Smith-Jenkins.
UConn opened the outdoor season last weekend in Orlando, winning the 4x400m relay and the long jump. In total, 22 Huskies finished in the top-10 of their respective events. To view the complete meet recap, please CLICK HERE.
The Huskies will look to improve on their 2015 outdoor campaign which saw 12 athletes advance to the NCAA East Regional held in Jacksonville, Fla. The program is in search of its first-ever American Athletic Conference outdoor crown after finishing as the runner-up in 2015 during a tight competition at the George J. Family-Sports Complex in Storrs.
