Huskies Fall to Army and Monmouth

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The UConn men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches over the weekend playing at Army West Point. The Huskies fell to the Black Knights on Friday afternoon, 5-2, and were swept by Monmouth on Saturday, 7-0.
On Friday, Army swept all three doubles matches to earn the opening point. UConn got singles wins at the #1 and #6 positions. R-Senior Jacob Spreyer (Denver, Colo.) won at #1 singles over Sam Lampman in three sets, losing the first 6-1 but rebounding to take the match 6-3 and 6-4.
At #6 singles, senior Zac McEntee (Yorba Linda, Calif.) beat Michael Sienko in three sets as well, bouncing back from a 6-2 loss in the first to win 6-1 and 6-4.
UConn returns to the court on Wednesday, February 10th with a trip up to Boston University.
