UConn Falls to Fairfield, 7-0

MANCHESTER, Conn. - The UConn men's tennis team hosted their first dual match of the spring season, falling to Fairfield 7-0 Wednesday afternoon at the Manchester Raquet Club. The Huskies fall to 3-6 in dual matches this season. The Stags improved to 6-2 on the year.
The Huskies got a win in doubles play, winning at #1. Junior Jacob Spreyer (Denver, Colo.) and freshman Christopher Toner (South Hamilton, Mass.) teamed up for and 8-5 win over Fairfield's Ian Tesmond and Cam Amyot.
In singles, sophomore Andrew Ginzberg (Woodbridge, Conn.) lost a tough three-set decision at #5 to Amyot. Ginzberg lost the first set 7-6 but rebounded for a 6-0 win in the second. Amyot took the match in the third set, 10-8.
The Huskies are back in action on Friday, March 7th when they travel to Brown.
