Diving student-athlete Grant Fecteau is one who has made an immediate impact at UConn since his freshman year. A native of Delmar, NY this Urban and Community Studies major has made a positive impression on his team both academically and athletically.
Grant has been a three time member of the Big East Academic All-Star Team and Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Setting a positive academic example is something Grant has done his entire time at UConn.
Athletically, Grant came into UConn and made an immediate impact. As a freshman, Grant placed 8th in the 1-meter at the Big East Championships followed by a performance at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships where he finished 34th in the 1-meter and 18th in the 3-meter. During his junior year, Grant finished 5th in the 1-meter and 7th in the 3-meter at the Big East Championships while finishing an impressive 8th in the 1-meter and 11th in the 3-meter at the NCAA Zone Championships.
Grant's senior year was hit with injury but he still managed a 3rd place finish in the 1-meter and a 4th place finish in the 3-meter. At the NCAA Zone Championships, Grant finished his career strong with a 14th place finish in the 1-meter and a 16th place finish in the 3-meter.
After graduation, Grant will be traveling and participating in service activities throughout Central America and Europe.
