Cecco Earns Spot At NCAA Championship

BLACKSBURG, VA. - University of Connecticut senior Danielle Cecco (Hicksville, N.Y.) finished second in the three-meter diving event on Friday at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championship. Cecco earns a spot in the event at the NCAA national championship, which will be held March 20-23 in Indianapolis.
Cecco scored 668.65 points in the event while Kaylea Arnett of Virginia Tech was the winner with 706.55 points. UConn senior Nicole Borriello (Montgomery, N.Y) was 16th with 489.90.
Cecco has now qualified for the NCAA Championships in each of the past three seasons.
On the men's side, freshman John Brice (Bala Cynwood, Pa.) was 13th with 567.20 points while senior Grant Fecteau (Delmar, N.Y.) was 14th with 548.35 points. The Zone Diving Championships conclude on Saturday.
