Huskies Post Second Place Finish at Ted Owen Invitational

NEW BRITAIN, Conn.- The Huskies were led by junior Ryan McGuire in their second place finish at the CCSU Ted Owen Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Stanley Quarter Park. Northeastern finished first at Saturday's 8K race with 43 points, while Connecticut grabbed its second seat 58 points.
McGuire was the top Husky to cross the finish line as he posted a time of 25:56. Also registering a top-five finish was senior Jordan Magath in fifth with a pace of 26:04.
The Huskies three more runners end the competition in the first 25 runners with freshman Alvaro Chavez (26:36) lead the way in 11th place, while sophomores Stephen Vento (27:04) and James Agati (27:16) finished 19th and 21st, respectively.
The Huskies return to action on October 7 at the New England Championships in New Britain, Conn. at the Stanley Quarter Park.
