UConn graduate Phylicia George posted a new personal best of 12.65 in the semifinals of the 100 meter hurdle on Tuesday in London to advance to the finals to represent Canada. The finals will begin at 5 p.m. EDT at the Olympic Stadium.
The collegiate standout made her Olympic debut on Monday and opened with a bang taking second place in her heat and ninth overall with a time of 12.83.
In Tuesday's semis she finished third in the third heat and had the fastest time of the three Canadian hurdlers. Also advancing with George is teammate Jessica Zelinka.
