DES MOINES, Iowa - Senior Victoria Flowers (Providence, R.I.) completed the 2012 outdoor season with a 15th place finish on Thursday afternoon at the 2012 Outdoor NCAA Championships. The three-time All-American posted a throw of 58.99 meters (193-6) at Drake Stadium.
"Victoria looked great and was prepared for some big throws. Two early fouls put her in a tough position to develop her throw. She came through with a clutch 3rd throw to finish 15th," stated Head Coach Bill Morgan. "It was tough especially feeling as good as she was but she will continue in the next two weeks to get that Olympic trial qualifier."
In addition to Flowers, four-time All-American Heather Wilson (Homer, N.Y.) concluded her season when she competed in the prelims of the 800m run on Wednesday and finished 11th (2:04.23).
