Huskies Drop Spring Opener To Stony Brook

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn men's tennis program opened the fall season against Stony Brook on Friday night The Huskies faced the Sea Wolves at Army in West Point, N.Y. Dave Adams and Wei Lin won their doubles match but the Huskies dropped a 7-0 decision to Stony Brook.
Dave Adams and Wei Lin got the season off on the right foot by taking their doubles match 8-4. They got the first break of serve and then won the last four out of five games of the match.
In singles, Scott Warden had a tough first set, but battled back and took the second. Unfortunately, he was not able to convert on match point on his serve in the super tie breaker.
Dave Adams had a tight first set and battled back in the second before falling to Stefan Ilic.
Connecticut will take on Army at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning in West Point, N.Y.
