Crowcroft Takes 16th In NCAA Javelin

EUGENE, Ore. - In the final day of competition at the NCAA Championship, University of Connecticut freshman Emma Crowcroft took 16th place in the javelin with a throw of 46.49 meters (152-6).
Crowcroft's performance was the best among freshman javelin throwers at the meet.
"Emma perfored well in her first nationals," said Head Coach Bill Morgan. "The experience can only help her down the line and especially at junior nationals in two weeks."
Evelien Dekkers of Florida was the top-finisher in the javelin with a throw of 58.99 meters (193-6).
Crowcroft's performance concludes the Huskies' time at the NCAA Championship.
