Five Huskies Advance to NCAA Championships in Oregon

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Five Huskies in four events will advance to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Ore. set for June 10-12.
Led by Mandela Graves-Fulgham who qualified in the 400 meter with a school record time of 53.05, the Huskies have five separate athletes representing the program in the finals.
Trisha-Ann Hawthorne also qualified for the NCAA Championship as she was third in her heat in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.40 and took eighth overall.
Hawthorne did not qualify for the 200 meter, placing 13th in the event and just missed the qualifying finish.
Hawthorne and Graves-Fulgham will join Phylicia George and Kristen Brown in the 4x100 meter relay in Oregon as the group took third in their heat and sixth overall to advance to the finals. The UConn sprint group finished with a time of 44.48 to earn the right to compete at nationals.
Emma Crowcroft qualified for the championship in Eugene, Ore. on Thursday after she threw for a mark of 156'2" (47.60 meters) in the javelin, coming in sixth place.
