Ferreira Earns All-BIG EAST Honors

PITTSBURGH - University of Connecticut senior Stephen Ferreira (Madison, Conn.) finished in third place in the three-meter diving event at the BIG EAST Championships. He was named All-BIG EAST for his effort in that event. The diving portion of the event concluded on Sunday while the swimming takes place next weekend.
Ferreria was seventh after the trials with a score of 282.65 and had an excellent final to score 329.55 and finish third. He finished fourth in the one-meter diving earlier in the weekend.
UConn junior Adam Genuario (Norwalk, Conn.) was seventh with 268.30 points and sophomore Brad Schott (Wilton, Conn.) was eighth with 226.50 points. Husky freshman Grant Fecteau (Delmar, N.Y.) was sixth in the consolations with 250.70 points.
