Monday Football Notebook: Teggart and Wilson Honored

STORRS, Conn.- University of Connecticut junior kicker Dave Teggart (Northborough, Mass.) was named the BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday for his performance in UConn's 19-16 win over USF last Saturday.
Teggart kicked four field goals and scored 13 points, including a 50-yard and 52-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to lead Connecticut to a 19-16 win at USF and a share of the BIG EAST Championship. Teggart's game-winning field goal from 52 yards with just 17 seconds left marked a career-high. On the night, he made field goals of 40, 22, 50 and 52 yards.
UConn senior linebacker Lawrence Wilson (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly honor roll, as he had five tackles, a pass breakup and a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown in the victory over USF.
Pittsburgh running back Dion Lewis was the Offensive Player of the Week while linebacker J.T. Thomas was the Defensive Player of the Week.
