Murray Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - UConn volleyball senior Rebecca Murray was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll, announced Monday by the conference office. Murray recorded two double-doubles on the week, including a career-high 21 kills against Seton Hall on Friday night.

Murray averaged 4.25 kills and 3.25 digs per set as UConn went 1-1 over the weekend. The senior ranks eighth among all-time Huskies with 1,054 career kills and has recorded at least one ace in 16 straight matches.

The Huskies finished the week with a 3-0 blanking of Rutgers on Sunday afternoon and return to action on Saturday, Oct. 30 with a 3:00 p.m. BIG EAST match against DePaul in Chicago, Ill.
