Huskies to Run at Fairfield Invitational Saturday

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's cross country team will head southwest down I-95 in Connecticut to compete at the Fairfield Invitational at Fairfield University on Saturday morning. The 4K race will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Last weekend sophomore Courtney Dinnan led the Huskies with a first place finish at the Bryant University Cross Country Invitational.
Dinnan finished the 5,000-meter run with a winning time of 19:06.97, beating out 87 other runners. Five of her teammates followed, including three UConn freshmen, finishing in the top-10.
Senior captain Sara Leslie finished second for the Huskies and third overall with a time of 19:48.85.
The Huskies will follow the in-state race with a trip to the University of Minnesota for the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26. The race is set to start at 1:10 p.m. (EST).
