Men's Swimming and Diving Falls To Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The University of Connecticut men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed at Army on Saturday with the Husky women posting a 209-94 win over Army while the men fell by a 160-140 score.
The women's team was led by freshman Mary DeMarrais (Bernardsville, N.Y.), who posted wins in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:11.83 and the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:26.80. She was also part of the winning team in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
On the men's side, freshman Kyungsoo Yoon posted wins in the 50-yard freestyle in 20.71 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 46.64.
Senior Steve Ferreira (Madison, Conn.) won both diving events with a 305.55 in the one-meter dive and a 341.85 in the three-meters.
Both UConn teams return to action two weeks from now for their annual trip to the Terrapin Cup at the University of Maryland.
