Ambrosie Earns AHA Rookie Of The Week Honors

HAVERHILL, Mass. - University of Connecticut freshman forward Sean Ambrosie (Moorhead, Minn.) was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Rookie of the Week after his two point effort in the weekend series with CCHA opponent Ferris State.

This is the first AHA honor for Ambrosie in his career, and the first weekly honor for the Huskies this season.

Ambrosie recorded the first goal and assist of his collegiate career against Ferris State. He earned his first assist of the season on Daniel Naurato's goal on Friday that gave the Huskies a 1-0 advantage over their CCHA opponent in the first period of the game.

In Saturday's game, Ambrosie notched the first goal of his career. His goal was the only one of the game for the Huskies and came in the second period.

Ambrosie and the Huskies are back in action on Friday, October 23 in their first AHA game of the season at Bentley. The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m.
