Men's Tennis Falls To Cleveland State, 6-1

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 10, 2008) - Christian Malerba (Derby, Conn.) was the lone point scorer as the University of Connecticut men's tennis team fell to Cleveland State, 6-1, Monday afternoon in its first of three spring break matches. The Huskies are now 1-5 on the season.
Malerba defeated Cleveland State's Rob West in the no. 5 singles match in three hard-fought sets, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. In addition, he partnered with Joey Michaels (Rochester Hills, Mich.) in no. 2 doubles to come up with an 8-3 win vs. Rob West and Robert Fox.
The Huskies return to action Tuesday against Valparaiso at noon.
