STORRS, Conn. (September 29, 2007) - Christian Malerba (Derby, Conn.) battled through the Flight 5 singles bracket to earn a place in the finals as the University of Connecticut men's tennis team wrapped up day two of the UConn Invitational on Saturday.
Malerba will face Rhode Island's Andrew Costin in the championship Sunday after defeating Bucknell's Mark Malloy in a tough three-set match (6-4, 1-6, 10-8) and Cole Conrad of Sacred Heart (6-4, 6-1) in the quarterfinals.

In #4 singles, Andrew Marcus (Potomac, Md.) made a strong showing through the semifinals, CHRISTIAN MALERBA
