Men's Tennis Finishes Day One At Northeast Regionals

PRINCETON, N.J. (October 19, 2007) - Two members of the University of Connecticut men's tennis team participated in day one of the ITA Northeast Regional Championships.
Joe Goldstein (Tucson, Ariz.), seeded 43 in the singles competition, fell to Penn State's Ryan Gormley, 6-1, 6-3.
Goldstein also participated in doubles play, partnering with Ben Schueler (Arlington, Mass.). The duo was defeated by Nolan Greenberg and Austin Longacre of Delaware, 8-3.
Play resumes Saturday with Goldstein and Schueler participating in the consolation rounds.
