Men's Cross Country Takes Second at Quinnipiac Invitaitonal

HAMDEN, Conn. (September 22, 2006) - Propelled by three finishers in the top five, the University of Connecticut men's cross country team placed second at the Quinnipiac Invitational on Friday, Sept. 22.
The Huskies finished with 52 points, just behind Quinnipiac who took first with 37 points.
Senior Max Feldman (Easton, Conn.) was the top UConn finisher in second place with a time of 25:49. Freshman Paul Durfee grabbed third (26:17) while freshman William Sanders was right behind to take fourth (26:18).
Senior Kyle Eckman (Bridgewater, N.J.) came in 20th (27:24) while sophomore Brian Gagnon (Lowell, Mass.) finished 23rd in 27:48. Freshman Colin Meyers was the final UConn runner to cross the finishline in 28:20, good enough for 28th place.
UConn will next race at the New England Championships on October 7 in Boston, Mass.
