The Huskies scored again in the bottom of the fourth inning, but could not muster more offense in the closing inning. Sophomore Allie Gendron (Amherst, Mass.) and senior Kim Castner (Forked River, N.J.) each scored in the half-inning for the Huskies, but UConn also left three runners on base.

The Huskies had just five hits in the game. Ortega was the lone Husky to have more than one hit, with a single to knock in Gendron in the fourth inning in addition to her home run.
