Sade Chambers Named to BIG EAST Volleyball Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (November 13, 2006) - Junior Sade Chambers (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for her efforts over the weekend in which she aided the University of Connecticut volleyball team in 3-0 sweeps of both Villanova and Rutgers.
Chambers recorded 12 kills while hitting .250 against the Wildcats on Friday night. She also added two blocks in the win.
Against the Scarlet Knights, she again had 12 kills but hit an impressive .409 with two blocks.
Chambers has helped the team post a 19-10 record, going 8-6 in the BIG EAST, which qualified them for the BIG EAST tournament for the first time since 2002. The Huskies take on Louisville on Friday, Nov. 18, at 12:30 p.m. at Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.
