Men's Tennis Final Day Results from Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. (October 8, 2006) - The University of Connecticut men's tennis team finished play at the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday, October 8, in Lewisburg, Pa.
Sophomore Jeff Klar (Marietta, Ga.) and senior Craig Helstowski got an 8-5 win over Bucknell's Cohen/Makkar in flight four doubles to lead the Huskies. In the previous match of the day, they fell to Ng/Bricker of UMBC 5-8.
In flight one, sophomore Ben Schueler (Arlington, Mass.) and freshman Joe Goldstein (Tucson, Ariz.) lost to Bucknell's Reibeisen 3-8 and then fell to Salvatore/Sherrill from Quinnipiac 6-8.
Junior Christian Malerba (Derby, Conn.) and sophomore Joey Michaels (Rochester Hills, Mich.) lost to Savage/Ferreira from UMBC 1-8 and then were defeated 4-8 by Sandburg/Brenner of Bucknell.
Junior Nate Carvalho (Freetown, Mass.) and senior Joel Gamoran (Mercer Island, Wash.) fell in flight three to Quinnipiac's Hughes/Feldman 6-8 and then lost a 1-8 match to Iranshad/Meyer of UMBC.
UConn travels to Quinnipiac for a dual match on Wednesday, Oct. 11 with first serve set for 3 p.m.
