Men's Cross Country Finishes Tenth at BIG EAST Championships

BOSTON, Mass. (October 27, 2006) - The University of Connecticut men's cross country team placed tenth at the BIG EAST Championships on Friday, October 27, led by senior Max Feldman (Easton, Conn.) who took 12th overall in a time of 24:01.
The next UConn finisher was junior Will Melofchik (Wayside, N.J.) in 49th (25:01) followed by junior Paul Durfee (Lanconia, N.H.) who took 55th in a time of 25:06. Sophomore William Sanders (Wetherfield, Conn.) was right behind with a time of 25:07 to finish in 57th.
Sophomore Brian Gagnon (Lowell, Mass.) placed 71st (25:59) while senior Kyle Eckman (Bridgewater, N.J.) finished in 74th with a time of 26:04. Junior Colin Meyers (West Seneca, N.Y.) rounded out the Husky finishers in 92nd (27:01.)
UConn will race at the NCAA Regionals on November 11, in the Bronx, N.Y.
