Volleyball Defeated by Notre Dame 3-0

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (October 20, 2006) - The University of Connecticut volleyball team fell to Notre Dame 3-0 (30-12, 30-24, 30-27) on Friday, October 20, in South Bend, Ind.
The Huskies (13-9, 2-5 BIG EAST) were led offensively by sophomore Sarah Singer (Waukesha, Wisc.) who registered 10 kills on the night. Senior Megan Silver (Snohomish, Wash.) and freshman Kate Seabaugh (St. Louis, Mo.) each tallied seven kills.
Freshman Bridget Denson-Dorman (Maple Grove, Minn.) contributed 35 assists while freshman Jessica Isaac (Erlanger, Ky.) led the team in digs with 20.
Notre Dame was led by Serenity Phillips who had 16 kills while Ashley Taurtis registered 30 assists.
UConn continues its road trip when they travel to face DePaul on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.
