Men's Cross Country Takes Second at Albany Invitational

ALBANY, N.Y. (October 14, 2006) - Fueled by senior Max Feldman's (Easton, Conn.) fifth place finish in 24:58, the University of Connecticut men's cross country team ran to a second place finish at the Albany Invitational on Saturday, October 14, in Albany, N.Y.
Junior Paul Durfee (Laconia, N.H.) grabbed seventh place in 25:04 while junior Will Melofchik (Wayside, N.J.) was right behind in eighth place (25:06). Sophomore Will Sanders (Wethersfield, Conn.) rounded out the Husky finishers in the top 20 with a 16th place finish in 25:27.
Senior Kyle Eckman (Bridgewater, N.J.) finished 65th in 26:26.
The Huskies were second out of 27 total teams on the day. New Hampshire won the meet with 65 points.
UConn returns to action at the Central Connecticut mini meet on Saturday, October 21.
