Mullen Advances to High Jump Finals at NCAA Championships
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 9) - University of Connecticut senior four-time All-American Deirdre Mullen (Princeton, N.J.) advanced out of the high jump qualifying round at the NCAA National Championships on Thursday afternoon at Sacramento State University.
Mullen made the final cut along with 14 other competitors as the athletes all made successful jumps at the height of 1.80m (5-10.75).
At the NCAA East Regional on May 28th, Mullen cleared a height of 1.81m (5-11.25) for third in the high jump to qualify her for the national championships and she will vie for her school-record fifth All-America honor in the high jump finals on Saturday, June 11, at 10 p.m. EST.
