Mullen Named ECAC Field Athlete of the Week

STORRS, Conn. (April 20) – University of Connecticut women’s track and field senior co-captain Deirdre Mullen (Princeton, N.J.) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Field Athlete of the Week by the conference office on Tuesday.
This past Sunday, April 17, Mullen cleared a mark of 1.88m (6-2.00) at the Mt. San Antonio College Relays to take a tie for third place in the invitational high jump. Her jump matched her personal record and tied the second best high jump mark in the United States among collegians this outdoor season.
The UConn women’s track and field squad returns to action next Saturday, April 23, when the team will play host to the UConn Select Invitational, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
