Mullen and Garner Compete at Mt. SAC Relays
Mullen Posts Second Best High Jump Mark in the Nation
WALNUT, Calif. (April 17) – University of Connecticut women’s track and field senior captains Deirdre Mullen (Princeton, N.J.) and April Garner (Temple Hills, Md.) competed in the Mt. SAC Relays at Hilmer Lodge Stadium on Sunday.
Mullen finished tied for third in the high jump, clearing 1.88m (6-02.00) to match her own school record while Garner took third in the 100-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 13.82 and ran a personal best time of 24.63 in the 200-meter dash.
Connecticut returns to action next Saturday, April 23, when the team will play host to the UConn Select Invitational.
