Schuerman Earns National Goalie of the Week Nod

STORRS, Conn. (October 31, 2005) – Adam Schuerman (Brookfield, Wis.) was chosen as the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Player of the Week after breaking the school record for career shutouts with two 1-0 wins over conference opponents this week.
Schuerman has played in 74 games in four years, posting 34 shutouts in games he has been the starting keeper for UConn (12-3-1, 7-3-1). He earned his second consecutive career shutout over both West Virginia and Georgetown, while leading the Huskies to a 6-0 mark over the two teams during his career. UConn limited its opponents to a combined five shots on goal, all stopped by Schuerman.
Schuerman and the Huskies return to action in the quarterfinal round of the BIG EAST Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 1:00 p.m. in Joseph J. Morrone Stadium against the winner of the first round contest between Georgetown and Villanova.
