SACRAMENTO, CA (July 11) - Four-time All-American Deirdre Mullen (Princeton, N.J.) is finished competing at the U.S. Olympic Trials after the qualifying round in the women's high jump. Mullen's final mark of 1.79 meters (5-10.5) placed her in a tie for 15th overall while only 12 athletes and ties advanced to the finals.
Mullen tied for 15th place with former Husky and four-time All-American Tamika Toppin. Neither athlete came close to their personal-bests in the event.
UConn has one former athlete left to compete when Bethany Hart takes part in the qualifying round of the hammer throw on Monday, July 12.
